Family days out in Perthshire
"Big tree country" — forests, waterfalls and castle grounds in the geographic heart of Scotland.
Perthshire sits at the crossing point between the Highlands and the Central Belt, and its forests and glens make the most of that — some of the tallest trees in Britain, plus waterfalls and gorge walks that are short enough for younger legs.
Blair Castle and Scone Palace give it a couple of proper historic days out too, both with grounds large enough to let the kids run off energy afterwards.
